Effect of High Temperature Heat Treatment on the Structure and Properties of FeCoCrNiZr Alloy

FeCoCrNiZr high-entropy alloy was melted by vacuum arc melting. The alloys were annealed at 873, 1073, and 1273K, respectively. microstructure, compressive mechanical properties, thermal stability, hardness of as-cast different annealing temperatures investigated using X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), microhardness tester universal material testing machine. results reveal that it has no noticeable change in the phase composition after high temperature annealing. is composed body-centred cubic Laves phase. In 1073K state, σ detected alloy, alloy's reached a maximum value 915.94 HV0.2. state obviously higher than increased strength result combined effect hardening C15 solid solution strengthening Zr atoms.
